Tiger's Eye: A Journal of Poetry was an idea that got away from us. JoAn Osborne and I wanted to publish poets who weren't being heard, so we created a square, saddle-stitched journal at the kitchen table. When we posted ads for submissions we were swamped with work from new and established poets. We had to up our game by taking our kitchen table project more seriously. We spent the next 18 years doing just that. In 2018, after several relocations and life changes, we decided to stop publishing.

Now in the midst of worldwide unrest, when poetry seems equally less important and more necessary, it feels right to reintroduce the Tiger. We love paper and ink, but this iteration of Tiger's Eye will primarily be digital with updates on poets we've published and editorial advice that will help you wade through the world of writing and publishing.

In the end, we all want our work read by an audience. That is what we successfully did with the journal and what we want to continue doing online. All of the letters we wanted to write and the comments we wanted to make on your poems, can finally be expressed in our yes, no, maybe feature. We are here to assist you in improving your craft. And in finding publishers who understand and appreciate your work. We will also help demystify the world of writers and publishers.

Welcome back. We've missed you.
